Youth Programming

Coach Allison Parks is the youth programming coordinator at Impact. Allison started at Impact in 2010 as a athlete. She then assisted her mom, Eleanor Parks, for 7 seasons until last year when she coached her own 12U group.

Coach Allison is currently a full-time student at Grand Rapids Community College. She is the 7th grade coach at Thornapple Kellogg Middle School and coaches a 13U team at Impact.

She says, "I love coaching the younger girls because they are all new to the sport of volleyball and I like teaching them the proper skills to help lead them to success and to encourage them to continue playing volleyball. I love being a part of Impact, it's like one big family!"

LITTLE VOLLEY CLINICS

Our "Little Volley Clinics" is designed for girls & boys in grades 3rd-8th. The program is a good starting point for anyone who is new to volleyball and wants to learn the game. Each clinic is a one hour session, once a week, for six weeks. The young athletes started working on their skill development while learning the basics of movement/balance, court awareness, and muscle dynamics all pertaining to the game of volleyball. Each week the players receive hands on court instructions that include skills like serving, passing, and hitting. They also do some game like drills working their way to team play. These sessions are a great opportunity for all young athletes to learn how to play volleyball.
